Working with creative and media agencies and internal stakeholders to deliver marketing campaigns for Lloyds Bank. I do a campaign management role within the Lloyds Bank Brand Marketing Communications team.
I have developed my organisation skills massively as the role requires you to work to tight deadlines and manage agencies and senior stakeholders. My communication skills have also improved as the role requires you to work in a very collaborative way with many different people across the business and outside of the business. My marketing qualifications has also allowed me to develop specialist marketing skills and knowledge.
The work is fun yet challenging and it feels like no day is the same. It also feels like I'm continuously learning even after finishing my qualification as marketing is constantly evolving.
I am given a lot of responsibility in my role yet feel confident in asking for help whenever I'm unsure of something. I'm often given positive feedback about my work and I have regular development catch-ups with my mentor and managers to ensure I'm on track and progressing.
We received regular training from both LBG and The Media College to develop knowledge and skills relevant to our roles. However I feel there was some ambiguity over what would happen when we finished our course and in the end several apprentices were left without a permanent role do to a restructure which came as a shock.
Support and guidance was very accessible when working on our qualification. We were allowed one day a week to focus solely on coursework so our qualification was completed without affecting work life balance.
Managers are very supportive and give us the work and help we need to develop. I also have a mentor to talk about issues I may not want to discuss with my manager and to work on my development plan to ensure I'm progressing as much as I want to.
The package is OK, however as I live in London and rent is expensive / I pay all my own living costs it seems to only just cover general daily living costs leaving little opportunity for financial stability.
We are often encourages to get involved in volunteering activities to help local communities. Living in London, there are a lot of opportunities to socialise etc..

Very friendly, helpful colleagues. LBG are focused on helping you develop your skills. You'll find there is a lot of variety in each day and due to the size of the organisation you are always learning.
Research the company and Group values ahead of interview - they're very keen on people who align with these. When joining you will get talked at a lot by several teams explaining what they do. It may be a lot to take in but it's important as you'll likely work with several other teams across the business in your role. Always take managers through your development goals and ask them to give you the projects /ownerhsip you need to achieve them.
