  • I work in technology, my day to day roles involve monitoring and improving batch jobs across the whole brand. This can be to investigate why jobs are late or make jobs run more efficiently.

  • I have developed my IT skills and learnt new skills on the mainframe

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the work I do, it can be challenging but a good challenge. I always have support from my team if I need it

  • 4. How valued do you feel by NatWest?
  • Yes I feel my opinion is well listened to. I have weekly meetings with my manager to ensure I feel everything is going well working wise and to just make sure I'm happy

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The induction was well structured and gave a good insight to the organisation. The apprentices roles aren't particularly structured. We don't really know whats in store for us years down the line. My team has a well structured training plan for me however having free members of the team to do the training isn't always easy.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Getting help from my training provider (QA) can be difficult but always possible if you're persistent. I have never had a reply to an email I've sent but a phonecall does the trick

  • Copious amounts. I have a friendly team which every one of can offer assistance when I need it.

  • Very well, I have heard from people in this business and others that RBS offer a very well paid apprenticeship.

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes we are on numerous training courses outside the office and asked to join visits to schools etc to advertise the apprenticeship program.

  • Yes

  • Very well paid, great start to a strong career, good learning opportunities and you leave with a level 8 apprenticeship
