My role is to post month end journals in the Ledger for the foreign currency accounts. Once all journals are posted I need to make sure everything reconciles and that I do the tasks that are required for legal purposes.
I attended an SQL course so I am now able run codes. I also have developed my skills on excel and accounting in general.
I enjoy the work that I do as I feel it is challenging. I like the team I am in and the area itself.
My manager is always striving for opportunities for me and I feel trusted to do my job.
It's well organised and there is a lot of support. The only downside is the little time we have to learn everything before the exams.
Colette my assessor is always on hand and helping us with hints and tips for our diploma unit. For CIMA, there is various routes of help such as our lecturer or just going onto the Kaplan website there is different areas and materials that can help us.
I feel I receive a lot of support from my manager and others in my team. If I am struggling with something they will make sure I get help to be able to understand it properly.
Salary package is absolutely fine to meet my costs.
The company have a few events outside of work. We also do day to make a difference where your team take a day out a work to help a charity / local community.
Yes
I would recommend LBG as I feel there is loads of opportunities to progress and the salary is very competitive. There is a lot of different activities you can participate in.
If applying to LBG I would make sure you research carefully and make sure to look at LBG's values as these are very important to the business. I would also recommend researching the particular role you are applying for. Also, if you know anybody who already works for LBG it is worth speaking with them for advice on how the interviews are structured.
