My job title is Project Assistant. On a day to day basis I ensure that all project risks and issues are captured and reported, all governance documents are completed, project updates are provided at an executive level, project working groups are scheduled and chaired, deputise for project manager, follow up and chase on project actions, management of cost benefits and reporting, minute taking and other general administration duties.
I have learnt many new skills and deepened my understanding in many areas including: negotiation, business innovation and growth, business markets, business budgeting and financial management. I have also been able to develop my meeting organisation, minute taking and presentation skills.
I enjoy taking part in the programme as it has helped me in my current role and I'm sure it will also help me in many other roles to come. I has been challenging however trying to find time to complete the work due to a busy schedule.
I do feel valued and very lucky to have been chosen to undertake the programme.
The programme is very well organised. I am always aware of what is expected of me and I am kept informed of work deadlines, tests and assessments.
I received lots of support from Learndirect and my assessor Adele Facey. I am in regular contact with Adele and speak to her on almost a weekly basis.
I receive time each week to support workbooks and assessments. My team manager also takes time to support me with upcoming tests and assessments.
I have a good package here at Lloyds and I hope that once the apprenticeship has completed I will be able to progress further.
There are similar roles availible outside of the Group that would suit my skill set. It is good to know that the skills I have learnt are transferable.
Yes
Lloyds Banking Group is a great place to work. There is a good benefits package, great support, opportunities for career development and plenty of flexability when it comes to the roles that are availible.
As long as you are willing to put in the hard work there are many rewards and you will have a long career with the Group.
