My current role is as a customer service officer on the Database Administration team. I work within electronic payments, on the group operations site In Brindley Place. on a daily basis I handle the admin tasks for the team which often includes, printing and distributing out the days work, responding to emails and inputting data onto the system.
I have completed my level 2 NVQ in Business Administration and learnt a lot about the working environment I am in. For example I now have a more in depth knowledge of different company types and the management structures within them.
I enjoy it a fair amount. I much prefer working to being in education as I like a valued member of the team and enjoy earning a salary at the same time.
I feel quite valued by LBG as they are always thinking of new benefits and reward packages for colleagues and looking to provide new opportunities for us.
It wasn't very well structured at the start as we did not have a proper training assessor. However, later on in the apprenticeship it felt very organised and I always knew exactly what I had to do and when I needed to have it done by.
I felt I received a lot of support from my training assessor as she was always just an email or phone call away whenever I had any problems or questions. She treated me fairly and with respect, as if I was one of her colleagues.
I receive a fair amount of support from my employer, especially in terms of the time I get to further my own development.
I think my salary meets my current costs quite well and I am able to live comfortably. My travel, living and social costs are all met considerably. This would not be the case if I was in full time education.
Sometimes there are opportunities outside of work to further my learning and development, such as he Lean Basics course that I will be attending this year.
Yes
I think Lloyds Bank is a great place to work and I really feel like I can have a long career within the company. There are so many different opportunities within the bank to progress.
I think the best advice I could give is to just be yourself and really let that shine. The bank values people who show a real enthusiasm to working hard and wanting to provide the best customer experience.
