Civil Engineer. On a daily basis I perform a range of tasks from around the office regarding different specialities around civil engineering. Most of this however is drawing work using ACAD. I work on a range of high scale projects and I am given value within the office. On a daily basis I will interact with a large number of people, creating new bridges.
I have learnt a lot of things on the apprenticeship, all of which have helped me both inside and outside of work. This includes things such as health and safety, but also delving into more complex matters such as dealing with clients on a one to one scale.
Everything about the programme is very good. The team, the work and he general attitude the company has to its employees in a different approach and I believe it works well. I has exceeded my expectations of working in an office.
I feel very valued by Mott MacDonald, they introduce me into high scale projects and trust me enough to allow me to run a part of the project singlehandedly.
My programme is very structured with regular questions on college and NVQ work, as well as an external assessor coming in every 6 weeks to guide me through my apprenticeship.
My training provider is very helpful as he provides step by step support for every step of NVQ work. It gives me confidence that I'll successfully pass my apprenticeship.
Support from my employer is regular and allows me to keep on developing myself and also make me more confident in my role at Mott MacDonald.
My salary is very good when compared with other apprenticeships out there. The inclusion of benefits, pension and expenses is all a bonus and is another reason why I really enjoy my apprenticeship.
Mott MacDonald do a lot of activities outside of work, such as regular football, curry clubs, and sports days. When I wasn't working, climbing was a regular hobby of mine.
Yes
Good pay, fun environment, overall a great company to work for.
Be informed of what Mott MacDonald do and make sure you are aware of which department you are applying for. For assessment days, revision is key as the test may throw a few people with outside of the box questions.
