My role is Customer Adviser which means that I split my days maily between the banking hall and the counter. On the counter I complete customer transactions such as withdrawals, credits and payments. When I am in the banking hall I am there to deal with customer quiries and complete non cash transactions.
Since starting in this role i learnt how to manage my time effectively and work in a fast paced invironment, I also developed my existing people skills and learnt how to build a good lasting relationship with customers.
I enjoyed the programme as it gave me more confidence and helped me learn new skills and information that I could use in my role and support me in better helping our customers. I did feel that the wording in the work books was sometimes confusing and difficult to understand. Throughout the programme I had two trainers the first I felt a little unsupported by as she wasnt always able to help me understand, my second trainer tara was able to explain things to me if I emailed or called, her she was very supportive and understanding and helped me finish my programme very quickly
I feel like a valud memeber of the team in lloyds as I think the company looks after us very well, and my managers allow me to take on a lot of extra responsibilties however sometimes I think the extra work i do can sometimes go unnoticed or ignored
My programme was structured in the beggining with regular monthly meetings with my trainer, however my first trainer left and I went months without a trainer. My second trainer was very supportiveh andvery organised and has high expectations which helps keep me on track and get me to completion very quickly still at a good standard
At the start my trainer was Laura who I met every month with, she was helpful and very supportive in those meetings but I did not get much support from her outside those meetings if needed. When Laura left I felt there was no support as I was left without a trainer for a few months and was told I had a new trainer but that then changed 3 times. then I had Tara as my tariner who was great, she was extremely supportive and was concerned I had gone over the allocated time for completion and she was great at keeping me on track to a good standard to get everything completed quickly, even when I was completeing work books at home she always answered my calls and emails.
At the start laura and my manager always comunicated when the meetings would be and I was aloud time in work to complete apprenticeship tasks. Then I got a newmanager who never really spoke to either of my trainers and did not show much interest in my programme, I didn't get any time in work to comeplete apprenticeship work other than my meetings which always seemed to be difficult to fit in.
My salary does meet my costs of travel and parking at work but only just, after all my other expenses I do not have anything left each month
There are some oppotunities for me outside of work but I choose not to participate as I feel I do a few classes/clubs outside work and that my chances of suceeding and growing are better within work.
Yes
