  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My job role is to create plans to which the workers on the shop floor can stick to, ranging from and overall plan for a contract, to day to day plans to ensure they meet the deadlines. I also create cost packs weekly to review how many hours have been spent on which job and whether or not they are performing on, above or below target.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by BAE Systems?
  • I feel I play a big part within the company, no matter where you go they always tell you that the apprentices are the future of the company and they are well looked after and valued. You don't get treat like the usual apprentice and given the rubbish jobs that they don't want to do. You are treat with respect and given task which are a big responsibility.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The apprenticeship scheme At BAE systems is well structured and thought out. It starts with a 2 week induction period where you will meet the rest off your colleagues that you will be on the apprenticeship programme with. There is so much training and support from your assessors and fellow colleagues to help you along side your studying and training. The jobs you are given are very fair and make you feel as though you are needed within that team.
