  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Time management has improved. Multitasking has benefitted greatly. Confidence has improved due to putting myself in more difficult situations like doing more presentations, stretching myself more and more.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • It has been enjoyable, the people have been great, the job has many opportunities and overall it has been very good. The only negative has been the service provider of the apprenticeship itself - Leardirect - who have not been the most reliable to work with.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Lloyds Banking Group?
  • We are always mentioned as being the future of the bank and are encouraged to challenge our senior colleagues which all adds to us feeling a valuable part of the group.

    8/10

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Could be better. There is no link between the day job and the apprenticeship scheme which is being delivered by Learndirect. This has resulted in a lot of miscommunication and delays in completing the programme.

    6/10

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Have had multiple assessors and still working on the programme. The assessors themselves are mostly decent, the issue is that the provider is asking too much of them. My assessor for example looks after over 45 apprentices. It is highly unrealistic to expect them to adequately look after 45 individuals when you consider the travel distances too. The man hours involved in looking after such large numbers are huge, often resulting in my assessor emailing me at 8pm on an evening. This is also one the main reasons a lot of assessors quit the job.

    4/10

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Always there if I need help with anything either work related or linked with the apprenticeship

    8/10

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • Used to work in London and it was expensive there, but since working out of Manchester the costs have drastically reduced and are much better

    8/10

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • They exist and is something which I should do more of, need to get my work life balance in check!

    7/10

  • 9. Would you recommend Lloyds Banking Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because they are a well respected employer who value their employees, have many opportunities, are always looking to change/improve for the better and are willing to be challenged.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Lloyds Banking Group?
  • Embrace change, be willing to speak up and challenge others opinions, irrespective of whether you are right or wrong.
