  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • At the start of the semester I have a meeting with my manager and we decide on five work objectives that I will work during term time. I regularly have meeting with members in my team and other colleagues. I am currently working on improving my technical skills for software development.

  • Yes I have vastly improved my programming skills as well as other soft skills.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I like the team I'm in. All members are very clever and always willing to help. I have been assigned tasks which challenge me. The culture of the GS is very appealing to me

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Goldman Sachs?
  • I feel very valued at GS. The firm dedicates a lot of resources to the apprenticeship scheme.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • We receive lots of support and training. I think the best part of the scheme is that we apprentices are left mostly to our teams.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • Our training provider is a university so naturally not much support. However overall the teaching is very good for the majority of the modules.

  • Lots of support. Every person that I have come across has always been willing to help.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I am very fortunate that I have a job which covers all my costs plus some savings, from living in London

  • Yes I believe so. I only use the gym but there are a lot of opportunities out there.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Because it is possibly one of the best ways to get on the career ladder and you get such a great deal


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Goldman Sachs?
  • Don't under value your experiences and always think about what you have learnt from these. The interviewers at GS understand that you most likely have just finished school and will take this into account. Explain your development which each scenario that you have encountered
