I work in the technology division and I am consistently given tasks which allow me to learn new skills and supplement my university studies. These tasks are often challenging, but this is because I am given work that genuinely benefits the company. My team is always willing to help if I get stuck.
I learn an incredible number of new things every day. What I learn at work helps me at university significantly and actually makes it seem easier at times, because I am surrounded by a wealth of knowledge.
I thoroughly enjoy my program - I am surrounded by amazing people who are friendly and helpful every day.
The work I am being given has a direct influence on the firm. You are treated and expected to act like a normal employee.
The firm has made an exceptional effort to organise the program well, and are consistently making improvements. It is very easy to make suggestions, and all comments are taken on board and are likely to be implement if they are sensible.
Our training provider holds weekly check-in meetings to ensure that everything is going well, and you can email and will usually receive a response on the same day.
The level of support from the firm has been outstanding.
London is an expensive city, so living costs are high. However, considering that you don't have a student loan, the overall package is good.
It is a very social company and there are always events which you can attend, including social/networking events, talks, presentations and career-based skills enhancement events.
