Within this placement daily tasks involve interacting with the team and other functions to generate prices using a cost model. This mainly consists of internal communications.
Throughout the apprenticeship I have gained so much confidence by being involved in a variety of projects and placements. All have pushed me out of my comfort zone, attending training courses and road-shows.
I enjoy the dynamic of the teams that I work in, as well as the fast paced nature of the business. The culture is inclusive and diverse, which allows for better working relationships.
The teams I have worked in treat me as a permanent member of the team, with full involvement in projects. I've gained recognition within my teams, internal recognition from Heads of functions as well as Supplier recognition.
I believe the structure of the induction could be amended to better suit the training of the apprentices prior to starting in the business. This could include learning more in depth about what the functions are and do. However, as a whole the programme is well structured.
The Assessors and Early Careers Team are always on hand if ever we have a question regarding our placements, NVQ or personal issues.
The managers are always supportive of developmental programmes and training, as well as ensuring time to complete NVQ work on top of the daily work.
I live in a 3 bedroom house on my own, the salary covers all my bills with a little bit left over.
There are many company charity events and activities to get involved in as well as voluntary programmes through the apprenticeship which I have been involved in.
