My role is a British Gas customer service apprentice, it involves in dealing with queries from customers and assiting them in every possible way.
I feel as if within BRITISH GAS i am learning constantly everyday which is amazing because i dont go a day without learning anything. The skill that i have learnt the best is communicating and being enthusiastic towards our customers
I enjoy my role a lot because it is a family environment with everyone willing to help which is why i enjoy this, plus there is a lot of oppurtunitys to progress also
I feel very valued by all colleagues, staff and managers. Everyone has the urge to make each other better which is fantastic knowing you have all the motivation and support to help you achieve
The programme is struictured very well, it is nice and balanced with work aswell as apprenticeship work
In training i recieved excellnt support to help me get settled, i felt comfortable straight away rather than being nervous. The training was in detail and very specific in regards to the system and how to interact with customers
I recieve excellent support day in day out, my manager is very helpful and is a great person inside of work and outside. Any difficulties i have she is always willing to help
As an apprentice i am getting paid as a normal person at thejob which is fantastic so i dont feel left out. I am very young and dont have much responsibilitys outside work however i am able to afford things calmy

I would recommend this to a freind because it is a very welcoming place to work and i beileve they will feel as if it is a massive oppurtunity to work for a big iconic business
The tips that i give to others is to be confident and have an insight into the business and that way they would appreciate the business and realise what a wonderful place it could be to work and the oppurtinitys out there are massive
