I am a call advisor apprentice, I support customers with booking appointments and any queries or complaints they may have. I deal with internal and external customers and their needs also ensure I do the best possible for the customer and the business.all while improving and learning new skills.
i have learnt many new skills whilst on this apprentership, i have improved my comunication skils, reletionship biulding skills and gained new skills such as customer service also organisational skills. I am given the opportunity to develop in Maths and English by completing functional skills exams.
I really enjoy the role and my team is very supportive. My expectations have been exceeded as i feel i have learnt more and been given the opportunity to develop in something i may not have considered before.
I feel very appreciated by my manager jemma and she gives me a lot of coaching and support. she is very easy to approach and she values me as a team member and wants me to reach my full potential. She keeps me aware of my own performance and encourages me to achieve daily tasks and goals.
the programme is structured as gives me clear guidance on what i need to complete and when to ensure i am organised and on track to complete the apprenticeship which enables me to focus on looking at getting distinction. I am fully aware there are things i need to complete in my own time however i am happy to do this to ensure i put my all in to it. The support i have recieved from more experienced colleagues and my manager has been amazing and i have now been given the opportunity to mentor others from a new start prospective.
We had some tutor sessions planned in however personally i would have liked some more to support with my maths and english. The training was very clear around the role and the business but would have liked more time focusing on the Apprenticeship part of the role. My manager was visible throughout the training which also helped in the delivery. The general attitude from managers and trainers in terms of support has been great and there has been a constant interaction
My Manager is very supportive and her attitude is always positive with a passion to develop us. She is always visisble, approachable and always willing to help and support. My manager has been our immidiate support and this is all we have needed. She provides support for our general role but also other elements of the business and if she is unsure she will find the answer.
It is great that we get paid the same salary as any other new start. As well as this we also get the qualification at the end which allows me to gain experiance and educatetion while still managing to afford my bills and save up for a morgage. The salary is very competetive in comparison with other businesses and is nearby to were i live. The business can also be flexible in terms of shift slides if required which is really helpful to my fitting in with my work life balance.
I have been on channel 5 news regarding the apprenticeship, this was a amazing opportunity that I enjoyed and never thought i would be able to do. There is also volunteering which I have asked to be put forward for, that works with age concern.
Yes
I have suggested to job to a few friends and the apprenticeship to my brother who turns 18 this year, as the opportunities offered to me are amazing and I wish to share this with my friends and family.
The Aprpenticeship is a great opportunity doing the same as another new start but also gaining a qualification at the end of it. The salary is great and the people i work with make it an enjoyable place to come to work. I look forward to coming in to work every day because i am aware of the difference i can make and also the development i can gain
