I am a service and repair gas engineer. I fix and do annual safety check and inspections on household gas appliances and systems. Including boilers, gas fires, cookers, warm air heating systems etc.
I have gained a lot of technical skills that I previously didn't have a lot of experience in doing so.
I enjoyed the programme overall as it was good for building on confidence and learning the trade.
British Gas sometimes make you feel valued but also it can simply be a case of getting as much work done as possible in as quick a time as possible.
The programme was structured but there was a lot of wasted time that could have been better spent learning.
I received an okay amount of support during my training period
I receive an fairly good support from my colleagues mainly other engineers
The salary package is good. I have no complaints that you are paid a fair wage for the work you do. Also good benefits system and pension etc.
Not really many opportunities that I have been made aware of so unsure of this question
Yes
Good pay. Fairly good training. Good experience with big company.
Show them that you can deal with customers and they will love that. They can teach you the technical stuff but you need to know how to act with people.
