  • I am an apprentice smart energy expert with British gas. My day to day role involves fitting smart meters and giving smart energy advice.

  • I have learnt many new skills including electrics and gas metering installation and maintenance.

  • I have hugely enjoyed my programme and the associated challenges.

  • I have not had a great deal of direct contact with my employer but when I have, the support has been fine.

  • The pay during training isn't great but I am managing to get by.
