Going out to different clients sites and carrying out external audits as part of a team. Testing their year end financial statements to ensure they represent a true and fair view. Sitting with clients and gaining understanding of their systems in place.
How to lead myself and others. I've gained the CFAB (Certificate in Finance Accounting and Business) qualification and am nearly through my ACA! I attend numerous internal courses throughout the year as well as going to college and completing mandatory and voluntary e-learns.
I enjoy the work but the people I work with make me enjoy the programme the most. You're always working and in teams with young and clever people which makes work really fun and interesting.
You work for different managers all the time and some appreciate you more than others. The feedback system is really well structured and encouraged. Bonuses are performance driven - the better your feedback, the bigger your bonus.
When you first join you stay in a big hotel with the rest of your intake for a few weeks which makes it really easy to make friends. Your first few months are mainly filled with internal training and college (outsourced to Kaplan). The support you get through your exams is amazing.
College (Kaplan) are really supportive. You can ring or email your tutor at any time about questions you're stuck on or areas you're struggling to fully grasp and they will spend as long as it takes helping you.
Sometimes you will have to work at night after being in college in the day but this is quite rare and only happens in very busy work periods and not too close to exams. Everyone has buddies when they join and everyone has a people manager.
I still live at home so my salary easily covers all costs. The salary can also afford an apartment/shared house close to the city centre and general living costs as a number of people who I work with are able to do this.
There are loads of opportunities to volunteer - PwC partner with schools in the local community and I have attended a number of events like mock interviews or leadership talks at schools. You are allowed half a day a month to volunteer. There is one day a year - 'One firm one day' - where everyone volunteers for the day and will work in local charity shops, volunteer in a homeless shelter or volunteer on a community project for example.

I really enjoy working here! The opportunities for progression and ability to move anywhere in the world made it so attractive to me. If you work hard, you will get promoted and not all places are like this.
Practice your online tests before doing them. Be well prepared for the interviews and find out as much as you can about the area you are applying for to make sure it's right for you!
