I assist managers on completion of projects. I'm not simply a 'coffee girl' - I do real work and I am not treated like a newbie at all
Yes- Excel skills have massively improved. I am also now very knowledgeable in tax, Government and my general knowledge of business has also improved.
I enjoy the programme so much that it doesn't even feel like a programme. It feels like I am doing this because I enjoy it. I'd do this for PwC even if I wasn't a higher apprentice - the scheme is great.
Managers are so appreciative and they will also praise you and ensure you get recognition for your work. At PwC, you never feel like you're a trainee staff, you feel like part of the team and an asset to the team.
Everything is well organised. You get a personal support manager for the course who provide you with all the info. You get welcome packs, tutors and also your people manager helps put too. There is a wealth of support so you never struggle. I had personal issues at my previous exam (moving flat) so I was stressed and they are also very understanding of all personal issues.
There is so much support in every area. The training provider Kaplan, people manager, course PQ manager. You never feel like there isn't someone there. All support responses are within a day too - usually within minutes !
Study leave, personal support, course PQ manager. You're never without help.
All costs are covered - expenses for training etc. Our salary is also very ample and one of the best for an apprenticeship. I'm earning more now than my previous job I was at for 4 years !
So many opportunities- team events, team drinks. There's always a chance to be social. There is also so many gyms near by and PwC has offers on gyms too.
Yes
PwC look after their staff. I have never felt more valued in a company before and this is my 4th job. Staff well being is a priority. There is a range of staff levels, but a partner or director will never speak down to you. You are treated like any other and you are valued like any other. You are also recognised and praised for your work. If you want to work without it feeling like a chore, come to PwC where it's like an extended social life that's more technical.
Be yourself - don't try over business yourself. Being a team player is a priority in working in any large firm. Be patient - no news is good news so please don't panic. The process is there to see you as a person, not to trick you.
