i work in the british gas call center taking call from the public. the calls we take are for the pay as you go department and what i do is take top ups and if there is something wrong with there meter we raise tasks and try and get the problem fixed and things like that
with this apprentiship we had a 12 week training process where we leart the role and leart how to use the systims, after that for the rest of the time we are on the phones full time takin calls and creating evidance to go towards a presintation we need toprovide at the end of our program. we also have to sit 2 exams one maths and one english
i do engoy this program i feel like it is very well planed out in the way and order we do things, such as the amount of training we got at the begging and now how much support we get with hepling get evedince towordsour presintation
being in the british gas apprenticship i feel like we are very valued as we are the first apprentiship to be in the call center. out manager appreciats us and i think she is also exited tobe going through this with us as we are the first
out apprenticship is very well structuered. we had our 12 weeks training not were working on the centur floor taking calls just like everyone else in the bulding and the olny difference between out role and theres is that we get a qulification at the end.
the 12 week training process we had was very good and out trainers stayed with us thye hole way and even for a little time after the 12 weeks when we wetre still nervous aout taking calls and still wernt 100% about the role
the support we get form out manager is incredible the amount of time and energy she puts into the team is amazing get things orginised and maing sure out stats are where they should be its amazing
out salary is realy really good considering our ages (16-20) even though most of us still live t home i feel like if we were to have our own house and things liek that i dont think we would struggle at all on out wage
because we ge a qulification aqt the end i feel like if we dont want to stay with british gas after there is still loads of jobs we could so with the amount of training and things we got
Yes
because it is a really good company to work for and thereare loads of opertuntiys to move up in the company nd become a manager and things like that
dont take the program/apprentiship for granted. when you at the interview ask more questions about the role and the hours youll be working as the hours may not be what you wanted and once you got th job there isnt much way of changing them
