I work for customer ervice with british gas. In an average day i answer calls for customer explanning this to them, taking payment and raising complaints.
I have grown in confirdence and i have also achieved a level 1 maths and english qualifications. I have gained listening skills and also team workign skills.
I am enjoying the programme a lot at the moment and i even started looking in to different positions available to me after the apprenticeship is over.
I feel very valued, they look after us well and we are alwyas recognised by managers etc. They offer a great package and reward us when we deserve some recognition.
It is okay, at the atart there was a lot of problems with my manager leaving and we were left without a team leader for a while but after our new team leader cheryl came into the team everything clicked and everyone started enjoing it a lot more.
As we are the first ever customer service apprenticeship i feel like the trainers etc have went over and above for us. Anyhting we are struggling with we will go over until we know it inside out.
I feel like we get a lot of support. At the moment we have weeky coaching plans therefore if there is anything we are struggling with of working on we have that one to one time with our manager to go oveer it.
The salary is very good and fits me okay but as i have a long way to travel in the morning most of my budget is taken up with paying for my car, car insurance and also petrol.
We are offered two volunteer days a year therfore we ca get days off work to do these. This is really good as it gives us a hnage of scenery and allows us to do something good with our time.
Yes
It's a very friendly plae to work. There are loads of benefits to it, we have perkz which gives us big discount on phones etc and benefits plus which is extra money BG gives us and we can but techology with them and vocuher etc. Alos there are loads of way you can move up the ladder and there is a lot of different oppurtunities to improve.
Go for it and just be confident and dempnstarte all your skills they are looking for it is well worht it.
