Currently training as a Dual fuel meter operator. Dumb and Smart meters.
Yes, I have learnt a whole lot about energy and energy efficiency. The course is gas and electric so very rewarding
The course is excellent, top training facilities and support. Doing a couple weeks in the academy then in the field is a great mix
At the moments it's quite early to say. However so far things seem positive. They look after their staff
The course timetable was provided prior to starting. I believe how the course is ran is just.
With British Gas the trainers are all in house engineers who have worked for the business for many years so their wealth of knowledge is top notch
Everything is provided for you. If you have any issues there is always someone to speak to and they are happy to help
The salary was a big drop from my previous role. But it's a lot better than other apprenticeship programmes. And it increases sooner than most
Not really, we aren't allowed to do any work outside of the business however it has given me great understanding
Yes
The business is great to work for, everything I have seen so far has been excellent
Just be yourself. They are looking for people who have initiative and who are thrive to succeed
