Lots of benefits of working for MBDA, including Flexible working hours, work life balance and share incentive plans. Work is very engaging and is within a Sector I am passionate about, which keeps me very interested in the detail behind the work I am doing. I have been able to represent the company as a STEM Ambassador, Business Advisor on the Young Enterprise programme and a Apprenticeship advocate through my engagement with stakeholders I have engaged with.
Strong appreciation from manager, suppliers and customers. Recognition for achievement. However, culture of aging workforce creates level of scepticism amongst colleagues very early in their career.
Very well structured, ranging from set induction and training courses, necessary support teams in place. Work life balance allows time to study and the majority of managers are very accepting of University requirements and support this. Additional courses are not so well organised e.g. NVQ, but this is up to Apprentice to manage their workload.
Wide range of training courses and career development programmes to support you across the scheme and further career development when off it.

Yes
plenty of internal and external opportunities on the scheme, where I benefit from a hugely subsidised degree programme and work experience in an exciting industry, where we are given the opportunity to be representatives of a multi billion euro company.
Research the company and scheme before applying. Develop a portfolio to evidence your successes. Outline weakness areas and how you are attempting to address these.
