I am a smart energy expert, my main duties are installing new smart gas and electricity meters as well as exchanging old meters.
I have learnt lots of new skills. Including practical skills and using tools, customer service skills and also driving experience.
So far i am enjoying my traineeship a lot. There is a lot to learn and take in but i cant wait to be qualified.
I feel very valued by British Gas, they are investing a lot of time and money into my training programme.
My programme is very well organised and structured. And i always know whats coming next.
I receive all the support i need. Everyone is keen to help and support when needed.
I also receive the same high level of support from my employer and colleges.
At the moment not very well but i am due 2 pay rises in the next year before my final salary increase when im qualified.
There are many opportunities outside of work to do out of ours rota and also saturday working.
