I am currently a procurement apprentice but have previously been in HR and project management. Day to day I put together NDA's and contracts. I also help to manage suppliers to ensure the work is being done on time.
MBDA have sent me on many courses including: -team building - awareness of export - Portfolio management - Leadership
The work in my current placement is really enjoyable. I am given enough responsibility but do not feel overwhelmed. It does depend on the placement that you are in but overall I love the scheme and for the year and a half that I have been here I have grown.
I am always thanked for the work I do and contribution I make.
The programme is very organised and structured thanks to my manager Nicki Jay. I am also very well supported by her and my placement manager. The only extra support I would like is a few more exam revision days as I use quite a lot of my holiday and flexi allowance on this. We do however have 5 university revision days a year.
Our university contact is great and she is always happy to help and give advice. The lecturers can be hit and miss though.
My current manager gives me lots of support but I haven't received so much in the past. The HR team are amazing!
The salary is good and I am comfortable at the moment however in the first year I did struggle slightly financially. We do however get a generous bonus and benefits.
There is some external events but these however are in high demand so it would be nicer if more was put on.
Yes
MBDA is a great place to work and I enjoy coming in every day.
