Throughout my apprenticeship I rotate between multiple teams in the Finance area of the company. I am currently working in the Accounts Payable team in which I process supplier invoices, solve queries, and complete various reports.
During my apprenticeship so far I have improved my communication, presentation and excel skills. I regularly communicate with a variety of people. I also developed presentation skills with help from my assignment. In my role, I use excel on a daily basis and therefore have managed to learn a lot more about excel than I previously was aware of.
I enjoy my programme very much as I get to learn new skills, meet new people and get involved with apprentice events within Fujitsu that are very enjoyable as well as informative.
I feel as though I personally feel very valued by Fujitsu as I have been given lots of responsibility and new opportunities in my day to day role and my role as an apprentice.
Although I enjoy the programme, I fell as though the structure could have been improved. I felt as though I didn't get a well standardised induction into the company. Although my day to day is structured, I feel as though the plan for the future development has not been well thought out or well communicated as I am unsure of the next team I will be moving to and when.
With regards to the training provider - I feel as though they provide me with lot's of support with both my exams and my assignments. Although there has currently been a concern with regards to 'Supplimentary Notes' that were added to the learning portal AFTER I sat the exam.
With regards to Fujitsu - I feel as though I am well supported and well informed on who to speak to if I need to resolve a problem or have a general query.
I feel as though my salary meets my needs for my current position. I.e. living with parents. I feel as though if for any reason I was required to move from my home - I would not be able to support myself fully.
Although in Fujitsu as a whole I believe that there is many opportunities for outside work - In my personal location, I am unaware of any opportunities to take part in out of work time - although I am sure there is.
Yes
When I was searching for my next step after college, I believe that my current apprenticeship with Fujitsu was the best out there, with regards to the qualification's received and the competitive salary.
With regards to the interview process, the advice I could give is to be honest and be yourself. Ensure you are able to constructively criticise yourself as well as being able to list positive things and skills that you have.
