I am a customer service assistant in the mortgage department, this involves me contacting customer on a daily basis to check their details and inform them of the next steps of their application. I then keep in contact with them until they have supplied all the relevant information and the application is sent on for the offer.
I have been deputising for my manager for the last 18 months, this has allowed me to manage the team in her absence and take on additional duties in her role so i have the relevant skills forwhen i apply for future positions.
The programme was very varied and I had a lot of support from my manager and department. It was great to work closely with others and help out if a colleague needed guidance.
I feel valued by lloyds as I am always recognised for any feedback from customers. I receive a lot of retail stars nominations from my team which shows I am doing a great job.
The programme was very organised. Initially the department had a meeting with all the applicants and the process was explained fully. The log books also shows the timescale of where we should be.
I was assigned an assessor who would come and see me every month. She would help me on areas I was unsure or advised what I could do if i was struggling in any areas. She was also available by phone and email so i knew she was on hand at anytime.
My employer was very supportive. They allowed me to have time out during my working day to complete activities i needed to do. We had regular meetings to see how each person was getting on and share our thoughts.
My current salary allows me to cover my travel costs and social costs. I am currently looking at opportunities within llyds so i can buy my first home.
I frequent my local gym which does classes every night. I attend these up to 4 times a week. My department also do monthly activities such as Bowling and Quiz nights which I take part in.

It is best to have some practice interviews initially to feel on confident. it is adviseable to read up on the bank and memorise facts. Competency based answers will be necessary to show what you have done and can bring to the company.
