internal auditor engage with stakeholders, perform and document results of controls testing, provide assurance over the banks key controls.

I enjoy my role and my team, I have picked up a lot of skills over the past 14 months in my role. the culture of BIA overall is great and is a good place to work.
I feel valued by Barclays and my immediate team, I am included in all team work and activities and given the same opportunities as the rest of my team.
at first, when I first joined the programme it was not structured or organized very well up until recently, they have made an effort to get organized.
once again, the training provider was not very supportive up until recently. we are now being given structured sessions, where as before we were just given the work and had to go away and complete it.
BIA as a whole are very support of your personal and professional development and try to support you as much as they can. There is guidance which is easily accessible if needed.
The Higher Apprenticeship salary did not meet my costs and was very low. I have since received a promotion and increase in salary which is more manageable.
There are many company, department and team events throughout the year. Barclays also run many citizenship events which are open for all to take part in.
Yes
I would recommend BIA as a whole as it is a great place to work, supportive of your goals and development and also of the organization.
the most important thing is to prepare, know what you are applying for and why you are applying for it. make sure you know and understand Barclays values and mission.
