I work in a financial systems department, learning loads of different aspects of the business such as the financials, business intelligence reporting, and procurement. I also have received a lot of responsibility for the month end tasks, which I find super interesting.
I've been studying towards my level 4 NVQ, and ontop have had opportunities to learn additional skills and receive further educational certifications such as SQL courses.
Extremely, Sky is a super friendly and busy place to work. I always feel like there's someone there to help me when I am stuck, and never find myself bored.
Extremely - I have received several awards for recognition within my department which I really appreciate and find motivational.
So far so good, I have had 2 rotations and am about to move into my third which is great. It means I get to learn about the different aspects of finance.
A lot - my tutor/assessor is always there to help me if I am having problems, and she has been amazing at helping me learn for my qualifications.
A lot, I have not had problems so far!
Salary is definitely something no one complains about as an apprentice at Sky. We started off on an extremely generous salary (especially if you base it on the minimum apprentice wage) - and having the opportunity to work towards payrises and bonuses is an amazing bonus.
I have been invited to a few opportunities out of the office, such as volunteering for careers fairs etc.
Yes
Because it is such a great, fast paced and interesting place to work.
Be 100% yourself. There is nothing the company values more than each and every different personality it comes across.
