Working in a small agile delivery team, on a daily basis we do programming, go to daily standup meetings and talk with our teams planning and communicating.
I have learnt many skills which includes: Networking within a company, Ability to produce well written code, Great communication skills, Leadership skills, Ability to code in javascript and also understanding the process of delivering software using the agile approach.
A lot, I have learnt a great deal and there is never a dull day.
Very valued, I feel that the apprentices are treated well within Sky, we are given chances and opportunities that we never thought were possible and there is a genuine involvement from people around sky towards us.
Very, we are given a lot of support from our assessors which really does help towards our learning when it comes to coursework.
Every month we have a meeting with the training provider/ assessor.
We receive a lot of support from people around Sky, employees are normally quite open at helping you with any problems you may have with code or any other general problems.
Very well
Although I haven't taken any, there are quite a few activities to do outside work.
Yes
Overall it is a great company, full of great people who really want to help you progress. I have only been here 8 months but I really do feel like I've progressed a lot since i have come, I know so much and it really does only feel like I've been here only 3 months.
Understand that it is a hard-working and intense environment and also be sure to be very flexible, but the amount of opportunities and the amount you learn is incredible. Don't be afraid to learn and put your self out there, and be sure to think about the team and the overall goal.
