I am on a 3 year Leaderhsip and Management programme where I gain a degree in Leadership and Management along with CMI. I complete 6 monthly rotations in retail banking starting as an essential banker, then moment banker, operations and I am currently completing my rotation as an Assistant Manager
I have learn so many new skills and I am able to apply my knowlegde I learn at universrity into everyday work to support my learning and development as well as supporting colleagues learning and development
I thoroughly enjoy my programme. I am constantly learn new things everyday and am therefore able to support colleagues in every day roles
I feel very valued as a member of staff at Barclays. All 4 teams I have worked with so far are friendly and welcoming there is a great team morale and everybody wants to help each other
My programme is well structured in the way of academics but could be improved in the rotations within branch network
Training is mainly completed online or by observing others so it can be very hit and miss you can be thrown in the deep end when there is a lack of staff to complete training
I recieve a lot of support from my line managers they really make me push msyelf to learn and develop and are very supportive in making me grow through my roles to be a go to colleague and a person everyone can look up to
My salary is amazing for my apprenticeship programme since my degree is funded by the bank as well. The one issue is trying to retrieve back travle expenses

Everybody can porgress as to where they want to be due to the amazing help and support of colleagues within the banking sector but to grow and develop it is about getting your name out there through networking
Barclays apprenticeship programme to me is one of the best apprenticeship programmes avaioble to not only school leavers but also anybody of any age who would like to develop in a leadership role. You have to work very hard and be motivated, but this massively pays off through the opportunities you can be given coming out with a degree, 3 years of experience and a CMI status
