Associate in Audit (accountancy). Daily tasks include looking at different parts of a business' financial statements and assessing whether these have been done correctly. Constantly going to different places/businesses and interacting with different clients as well as different EY audit teams. On top of general day to day work also involved in a 'smart futures' project for 16-17yr olds from a less well off background that may struggle to get a job at a firm such as EY without extra help etc...
As part of the 'school leaver scheme' study for chartered accoutancy. Picked up knowledge about accounting etc.... Definately become more organised and learnt to prioritise activiities better.
I think its good. Although at times the work can be boring it is good learning about different businesses and at times the work is very interesting. I think the company culture is good and are continuing to improve in this area. Although at times have felt like many of the staff are overworked. Get on well with everyone from the office and there are lots of social events.
Felt valued at most times.
Mostly well organised. Though as it is a new scheme at some points have felt like even the firm don't know exactly how the 5 years will turn out in terms of career progression.
Good support.
Very good support. Everyone is approachable and the Company wide 'chat' system is excellent for easily contacting anyone.
Its good though I feel that for the amount of hours worked this could be more.
Yes? Of course.
Yes
Good atmosphere and work ethic. Like minded people. Everyone is incredibly helpful and easy to talk to.
- Don't be afraid to speak up and voice your opinions - Be chatty & personable. They're not looking for people with no social skills. - Be a team player - Know your stuff/do your research - Experience is useful, take any opportunities you get which may display your character and attitude. - Be/appear interested and interesting
