Cross-functional role with an insight to a whole breadth of teams across the organisation. Track progression based on individual strengths with the ability to find a role that suits you.
Yes - I have not only developed my soft skills such as communication but also learnt a heap of new skills such as technical knowledge, business knowledge. Throughout the last 3 years my confidence has increased so much!
Every day is different, and every day I learn something new.
Very. Cisco puts a lot of effort into early in career and I know that apprentices at Cisco are extremely valued.
It's well structured, although could be improved. I think this is due to the size of the organisation and the complex back end processes.
I have built strong relationships with my tutors and my assessors meaning that I have always felt supported.
Cisco is very good at supporting apprentices and understand the time needed to complete training aspects of the course. Not only my manager, but also everyone else I work with within the organisation have supported me whether it be on work or my assignments.
I like that there is pay increases throughout the 3 years which recognises that we are becoming more competent and therefore reflects this.
Cisco has a whole breadth of communities to also get involved with which offer opportunities out of day to day work.
Yes
It's one of the best experiences I've had! I have developed so much as a person and had the most amazing opportunities, that I know only Cisco could offer.
Firstly, be yourself! Cisco wants a diverse workforce and not clones of the same personality. Don't let IT/networking put you off - it's the passion for technology that counts. I don't count myself as a technical person but I am passionate for what technology enables us to do.
