I'm doing rotations through the branch network of Barclays UK. I am currently a manager, managing a branch and have previously been a cashier and personal banker.
Yes. Leadership, team building, resilience, I am currently studying for a degree. I have been to various training programmes and I am in a constant state of development.
I am frustrated by the lack of momement and the obstructive nature of the programme management.
Not very much. We are told that we will be given certain freedoms but are seldom given them. There are members of my Cohort who receive a much different experience to me. However, Barclays do pay for my degree and I am given lots of support from my line manager.
Not very. the degree side is fine, but then there is a distinct lack of alignment between business and education.
A lot.
Not much. Sometimes is frequent and varied, but other times it not the case.
Hardly at all. my pay is frozen for 3 years and I have a a mortgage to pay.
Lots and I participate in many.
Yes
I am still getting a free degree and they do have a good work environment.
Don't be fooled by the marketing. You will not be supported as much as you are told.
