I am a trainee merchandiser, this involves ordering stock, planning the new ranges in store and also organising promotions in store. I work with many teams within the office and have lots of interaction with suppliers.
I have developed communication skills and a wide variety of computer skills.
I enjoy my programme as I feel like it is helping me to begin my career
I feel very valued by Tesco as I have a large involvement in all areas of the business and have also carried out my own projects
I feel the programme is poorly structured as there is little assistance on a daily basis, apart from the arranged training programmes we don't get much career advice.
I recieve very little support from the training provider and instead my line manager is helping me more with my development.
I recieve a large amount of support from my employer.
I feel my starting salary was suitable however since I have developed further in my role I have not seen any financial benefits from this.
