Business administration Apprentice. Customer service based, we are the first in contact for all staff. we help and support staff for anything they need. typical task include stationary, scanning, printing, directions, emailing, on the phone service.
I have been on many different training courses, these help to improve my business admin skills. for example note taking, on the phone support. course to show how the business functions and what my job role does to support.
Working within my team I feel I have become a valid member of the team. I'm not just the "apprentice", people come to me to ask for help and support in the work they are doing. I receive support when ever it is needed and there is always someone to help if needed. The work I do is very enjoyable and different everyday making me learn new skills.
I feel very valued. by having regular one to ones with my team leader I feel supported and valued. we have team meetings every 2 weeks where we are able to share our views and update the team on any ideas that we might have. we all feel relaxed and happy to share any idea we may have even if the team think it will get turned down.
we have a college assessor come in every months to access our work that she has set for us to complete. any time that we need to work on our course work we can. there is no trouble ever finding time and support when it is needed
The Lady comes in every month, sets us out new work that she needs us to complete, she will mark and upload any work that we present her. the work she sets us she will provide some support in telling me what needs to be presented and some resources that she has. we can always email her if she has any questions.
I feel that if I have any trouble at all there is always someone at work who will be able to help. I believe that the support I have from work if very important and helps me complete my course.
Even though the apprentice salary is satisfactory , I feel that the work is very closely the same to higher paid team members.
DSTL offer lots of social benefits while working with them. you get a good amount of holiday and flexi hours. they offer different workshop out side of work so that you can network and find friends within work.
Yes
DSTL is a work place that I would recommend to anyone as there is so much opportunity to more and learn different areas in the business. you get support from all your team and higher levels. employers at a higher level don't look down on you they consider your views and outlook on everything. the reward package for working here is very beneficial
When completing a application or interview always think of the STAR structure with every question. Situation Task Action Result. They use this highly in there recruitment.
