I am a business managers. I answer calls from customers and other departments. I help with account related queries, deal with complaints and lending.
Although I can't say I learned anything new as I was not new to the role I can say that it was good to develop what I do and to have gaps looked at.
I loved every minute of it. My tutor was amazing and despite the hard work I had enough support from her. Never got the time promissed by the company but was glad to do it on my time.
When I started the programme I felt valued by doing that but since then things changed. We were not even allowed time to go to our graduation, even though they arranged an in-house event later. I think I feel replaceable but needed (not many people can do my job or want to).
I felt I had a very good structure. I knew what was going to happen and when and that helped me not to fall behind.
My tutor was available all the time on email and phone. Visits happened monthly and I was never alone. Website also offered a lot of support.
My manager at the time had no idea of what the programme was about. I never got the time I was suposed to get and there was no mentoring.
I cannot complaint about my salary. I would like to be on a higher amount at this point but maternity has an unfair impact on that. I can pay my bills and I am lucky to live outside London.
Although oportunities exist having 2 children I do not have the time. I did some volunteering at church and school but would like to do more. I would also like to carry on learning.
Yes
Compared to other companies it is a good company to work for, although it can be much better, I think we are going in the right direction.
Prepare yourself for the interview, try to understand what the company is about and remember to talk about being the best for the company, not about sales.
