My job title at Halifax was Customer Advisor but I became a Customer Service Consultant during my apprenticeship. I open up savings accounts for our customers and also help in the banking hall.
Yes, the apprenticeship helped to get me more experience in planning because I needed to get evdience that I didn't have before. It has also given me two new qualifications that I can use to proceed.
This is the second apprenticeship that I have done and I really enjoyed this one. I like havig the mappings so that I could see the end goal. It was more experience based compared to the last one I did which as all essays.
I do feel very vauled by Lloyds Banking Group because they let you have a graduation for the apprenticeship and everyone understood that I needed to take time out to be able to do the work and people worked around me for it.
I feel that the program was very well structed. The mappings helped with the timing and goal setting. The management were given the right idea of the program so they knew how much time to give me. I knew my apprenticeship coach was on the other end of a phone if I needed her to.
My training prodiver gave me as much support as I needed. Luckily I was able to just crack on and get it done most the time, but when I did become stuck she gave me resources and ideas to get me back on track.
I feel like a got a lot of support from my employer. They gave me time out to be able to complete some of the work books. They also helped me when I needed to gather evidence for the course.
I feel like it was fine salary as it was not the apprentice wage. I have been on a apprenticeship miniage wage before and I had to get another job as it was not enough to live.
The apprenticeship was great and I feel like it do a good job to show how focused and engaged I can be within Lloyds Banking Group but I have not tired using it for opportunities outside work. LBG do have a whole program for apprentices after their courses have finished to promote apprenticeships which I think is great.
Yes
I feel like there is a lot of structure and they know what they are doing. I also feel like for such a huge company they are good at making time for you.
I would say not to get overwhelmed with all the information and you will learn to naturaly pick it up as you go along because everything is changing so quickly that people that have been there 20 years are going to learning it at the same time as you.
