I work within the VAT team and I'm involved in providing clients with advise in respect of specific transactions and working on wider projects on various client types.
I developed my technical skills and commercial understanding on specific sectors I work within. I am now working towards my final exam in May.
I enjoy all aspects. Working with clients, workings with different departments, advising, the culture at Mazars and the general day to day tasks and projects.
I am always being pushed to develop and I am already working towards a promotion towards the end of the year. I have regular meetings with my managers and enjoy the social aspect of going out with the team.
The programme has ran very smoothly with the material provided being high quality, working on tasks that help me develop with my studies and regular meetings including technical catch ups once a month.
Constant support with access to webinars direct email addresses and tutors are happy to spend one on one time to go through more technical areas of the studies.
Everyday support. I work on projects that are relevant to my studies. I also have the opportunity to research and go through areas I struggle with on a practical basis with managers. Again I have regular meetings and technical calls to discuss what's relevant in our area of specialism.
The salary appears to be in line with the market rate however I am always seeking to improve this and as mentioned previously, looking to move up a grade shortly.
Too many! There is always emails inviting you to various social and business events including stuff for charity and CSR events. This creates a great culture here at Mazars.
Yes
Large firm in competition with the big 4 but still able to work directly to senior people and clients. Great opportunity to progress, goods client base, constantly growing, good culture and support.
Prepare for your interview as much as possible. Research Mazars and what's happening within the firm. Get as much work experience as possible. Ask questions and work on your business manner as its not always the technical abilities but more the person and how well you can interact and communicate.
