I am a telephony banker for Barclay's and I deal with day to day enquiries about accounts and am learning how to deal with difficult requests
I have developed computer skills and have also learned new skills I didn't know I Had, like being able to tell the difference between certain things without having to ask for help
I love working for Barclay's and have found a career and not just a job, it had amazing benefits but is a brilliant career path and I can only go up from here
I feel extremely valued because if I ever have a problem they're there to help not just to put me down. They're very supportive in everything whether that be my health or the way I learn
My programme is very well organised and we always know what we are doing and working towards, there are steps in place for us and support that is there too
I receive a lot of support from my training provider and my mentor so to speak, o can email her if I need to speak and always have a catch up with her. She is supportive and understanding about myself and my health conditions
I receive a lot of support from my employer as I'm havinga difficult time at the moment and Barclay's have told me I have certain benefits I can use to make myself feel a lot better and to also help with my mental health such as my private health care plan, Barclay's have supported me from day one
My salary is a lot more than what I expected when I originally started and cover all of my costs, I get just under double the apprenticeship NMW and I enjoy earning whilst learning!
I have not yet had any opportunities out of work as of yet but hopefully I can go into schools and teach the students about interviews and digital things which I am keen to do.
Yes
Because they're a brilliant company who offer a great wage, an excellent career path and are supportive in everything you do
Be yourself, and you can take notes into an interview!
