As part of being a member of the Windows EU team I have been able to handle day to day tasks such has handling the ticket queue, attending meetings and project work.
I have been able to further my technical knowledge attending training courses provided by Nomura but also being able to learn from my colleagues on the trick of the trade. It has allowed me to handle a range of topics which has supported my on-call role
I have thoroughly enjoyed the time I have had with my team and working with other members of the company being able to have an insight on how other teams handle certain processes.
I have felt valued throughout the time I was an apprentice being valued as more of an SA than apprentice being given tasks to handle and work on.
Nomura certainly when above and beyond with the apprentice scheme unfortunately the same couldn't be said with JustIT with their lack of reliability of their software they use and the fact that there was no further training courses provided such as Microsoft Server
At the start support was provided but it started to lack a bit with on-going issues with their system and lack of further training courses provided.
Throughout my apprenticeship scheme both level 3 and 4 I have been provided and overwhelming support from Nomura in regards to how I am handling my role to sending me to training courses to further my knowledge
After finishing my level 4 and being kept on as a permanent employee the salary certainly meets my costs.
The company is always having events going on to take part in and especially as we have a dedicated charity for each year there is always the change to take part in
Yes
It is a company which has allowed me to grow both technically and personally and has given me the stepping stones to progress forward.
I would ensure that they take every opportunity and take on board every lesson.
