I am comPlaints analysis for unsecured debt at Barclays Bank, I ring customer s on a daily basis to try and resolve their problems, some issues can be very complex and each case if different and needs time to investigate the issue and wrong has gone wrong and if it is a bank error or not, and how can the issue be best resolved for the customer.
I find the RBCB book very helpful with my roles yes, but apart from that, nothing else.
No very much, i did at first, it was only meant to be a year course which has been extended, most meetings are telephoned based, and I have been sent practice test papers, with the answers on the back, and have to answer and mark them myself, which isn't the best, I ve not seen my assessor much, due to several issues, but feels as though there is little commitment and I can't wait to finish.
I really enjoy my job! I have been there for 4 years now I started off on a apprenticeship which was year one, and now I should be on my degree year, but after the ongoing delays with the course, I can't wait to finish. I the fact that I am getting a qualification out of it is really good, but it has took a lot of effort from my side to chase things up.
No organised a tall, I ve been asked for information from my Adair which she should already know, repeated questions several times. Me having to chase up for information around my exams, me having to book my exams, being given practice test with the answers on and told to answer and mark my self, been told I can do my maths test at home instead in. Room with my assessor.
Hardly any, she is lovely lady, but I tend to fo d that she repeats herself a lot, when I took my exam I rang her straight after and gave her my results, a couple of days later she asked me what my results were, I was then told not to rebook my exam till she had spoken To me, then to be asked why haven't rebooked exam, cancellation of appointments, most appointments are on the phone.
Not as much as I would like, this is mostly down to be having several new team leaders and the only one my asssoer ever sat down with and explained the program to was the first one, I have had two more since, so no one actually knows what it is im doing unless I explain to them, but as far as there aware I am there to work.
It is currently looked at being viewed, I feel as though I do a lot more than I get paid to do, the workloads is a lot to take on.
There are tons of opportunities in work and outside of work it s just trying to being to mange work life social life family time and Study doesn't really leave much time to volunteer.
Yes
It's a carrrer for life, there is plenty of opportunities and so many different positions and plenty of support and programs to help you profess.
Be prepared to start at the bottom, work hard, and you ll get there, Barclays is a massive company and has jobs all round the uk.
