I have joined the M&E department of Cost consultancy at our head office based in Moorgate. My daily tasks include reviewing variations, preparing stage3/4 Cost plans, Pricing M&E works on major projects across the UK. There is regular training on a variety of subjects which is almost fortnightly covering all scopes of work.
I learn more everyday. There is a genuine desire to develop each staff member professionally.
It is a very sociable company, I have made great friends for inside and outside work.
Extremely valued. The investment in staff is unbecoming for a major contractor in central London in the current financial climate.
It is well structured. Training is sometimes arranged at short notice however I wouldn't like to sound ungrateful as it is usually great training
Lots of training. As mentioned this is almost fortnightly across London. I have been to Dublin and I am going to Bristol next week all in the name of CPD.
We have buddies, mentors, Manager, Directors who all care greatly about our future
As a single 23 year old male renting a room in central London, commuting z1-z4, After tax I am just about breaking even with £100 spare. (however as a school leaver living at home the salary would be great)
Yes there is lots that can be found on our intranet at the click of a button. I have volunteered through our volunteering programme with the Wildlife Trust.
