My role consists of dealing with customer queries, either by phone or by email. I help clients with any issues they encounter when using the product.
I have developed several skills. From the apprenticeship, I have not only managed to advance my communication skills, I have also managed to improve my IT skills and my relationship with other people.
I enjoy how my programme gives me lots of opportunities. I think that it will really aid me in the future with the experience it has/is giving me.
I feel very valued by Barclays. My team was really welcoming, and my team leader has really helped me to make the most of my opportunities at work. For example, when I've ran out of things to do in work, she's organised training for me on other programmes.
My programme is well structured, in that it has all the learning information online and is easy access. The only issue I have is that communication with my mentor can be difficult, and when shes ill, there isn't anyone else that I can speak to to help me with my work. I think that there should be someone to cover her, if she is ever ill again.
I receive regular support from my training provider as we have monthly meetings. If I also have any questions then I can email her and she always replies within the day.
I receive lots of support from my employer as my trainer, my team leader and my colleagues all help me with any questions I have or with any training they can offer to aid me in my work. I also feel very comfortable speaking to people at work and feel like I can voice any issues that I may have.
My salary meets my costs really well. It has allowed me to already buy a new car.
There are opportunities outside of work, like charity events, work parties etc. All of these are mentioned in daily line ups and sent around teams daily.
Yes
Barclays offers a range of opportunities for people already working for Barclays and potential new employees. I also think its a good organisation to work for as it values its employees and customers alike.
I would say to try and be yourself, especially when you go for your interview. I would also say that it's a great opportunity and to do as much as you can with Barclays as they really want to help you grow.
