New environment, very welcoming, very nice team, the work I have been doing was a great start for me, adjusting to the culture from previous jobs. better than expectations.
I feel valued, I am always given excellent feedback and ways to improve. my line manager and entire team (including senior managers)let me know I am appreciated.
Training provider was not organised. very unorganised at the beginning of the programme. poor training for majority of the programme, only resolving issues months before the scheme finishes. Many tutors seemed poorly trained and then left the business un announced, assignments went unmarked up until now. however new tutors are making an effort and know what they are doing.
Up until now support was minimal and poor. Support is very good now from new tutors.
Lots of support received from team and manager in terms of allowing time to study and support with assignments. always offering help if needed.
As I still live at home and do not drive, the salary works well, however if I was to move out and begin to drive, I would need a higher salary.
Lots of Apprenticeship events to engage with students, teachers and parents. opportunities to travel around the country to other offices in my organisation to meet and work with other teams. shadowing is encouraged
Yes
I have already recommended the civil service to many friends and 2 are now working on the apprenticeship. it is a great place to work, great opportunities, experience, job security and pay
Show a real interest, do some background reading, show drive and ambition, be patient, be confident but not too over powering to others in a group discussion, encourage others
