I am a work coach and I am responsible for overseeing a case load of job seekers aiding them with their job search, Universal Credit queries ect I reply to messages, see people accorning to my diary and control who i see and when i see them according to when i feel is appropriate.I have alot of responsibility in my role and see a vast variety of people on a daily basis.
I have learned a lot of new skills and learning styles from working here. I have attended alot of training courses so far, and plan on going on more. I have done e learning courses and will do some more. I have learned alot about myself and my learning styles.
I enjoy my prgoramme alot as I do not feel like an apprentice i have alot of responsibility and feel like one of the team.
I do feel valued by HMRC but sometimes I do feel we may need some more contact through the fast track scheme.
Havent really heard much throughout the recruitment process. Also have not heard anything about the qualification side off my own back i have had to go out of my way to contact the externam provider
n/a Havent met them yet although we have exchanged a few emails and they do reply very quickly which is great.
I recive alot of local support but sometimes feel more national support, emails and maybe even a alumni contact network would be nice to have in order to extend our contacts.
Salary is very good, sometimes though the fact I have wirtten apprenticeship work on top of my work role does make me feel we should have a little more support sometimes. Costs are reimbursed which is very good support.
Havent seen this yet, although it has been mentioned that this will start up again. There has been oppertunities with the Civil service to volunteer.
Yes
HMRC Fast Track is a really great apprenticeship and put you right at the centre of everything, i am really enjoying this.
I would say apply for it as soon as it opens, if you dont hear anything keep ringing/emailing until you get an answer. Put your everything into the assessment days and show what you are capable of.
