Cyber security analyst - Incident management role HMRC
Everything you can possibly imagine! Time keeping, leadership, team working, communication & presenting are all soft skills I have gained from this apprenticeship; as well as technical skills.
Loved it, only down side is the 'woolly' training provided by QA which I haven't been able to apply to the job.
A hard question to answer; for the most part I felt like 'the future!' And thus very valued, however with the cheapest training option (being sub-par) being provided it leans towards the opposite; that I'm just a statistic for the government to turn around and say 'we've invested in this cyber apprentice!'
On the job based learning & developing 10/10. Lab based QA training 5/10.
Minimal, it feels like they only want us to pass rather than learn.
Loads - line manager willing to go out of his way to ensure we're happy with technical skills & soft skills, as well as encouragement with career progression.
Covers everything I have to spend. Happy with the salary.
We have been offered opportunities by the fast track team, however not so many from the team directly.
Yes
Great place to work, really feel like I make a difference.
Be the best you can be, don't give up at the first hurdle. Learn the civil service competencies by heart before interviews.
