My current role consists of helping out my members by getting involved with the various processes required for a building project to be complete. The areas I am getting experience in are Quality Management, Commercial, Construction and commissioning
I have learnt many new skills whilst working for MACE that have developed me as a person. My construction knowledge and skills have improved hugely from working at MACE. I feel that I have developed my team work skills, problem solving skills and communications skills. This has been done by my work on site and my training both at college and at head office.
I really enjoy my job and find it is developing me as a person very well. I also feel there is so much opportunity to excel and advance in MACE due to the friendly, encouraging people at MACE.
I feel very valued, I feel I have a part to play in the team which makes feel good. The work I do is recognized and I receive the appreciation for my work from all team members.
Very well organized, there are regular training sessions which provide me with the essential training that is required of building services engineer. I am being put through a 2 year HNC which I really enjoy which is also helping me to understands the aspects of building servicing engineering.
I receive more than enough support from MACE and from my college tutors. Everyone is always happy to help me and support me to allow me develop and become a building services engineer.
I receive lots of support from MACE as there is a HR team which are always there to support me if I need it. They are always happy to help me and support me.
My living cost are expensive however MACE pay well and provide me with an expenses system which allows my travel to paid for by MACE.
There are many opportunities to get involved with voluntary activities for charity as well as exclusive events such as Breakfast with ARUP talk which involves a specialist speaker which talks to attendees about the new and innovative technologies that are being used in the construction industry

MACE are providing me with all training I feel I need to develop myself to my full potential.
