My day to day role as a team manager is to compleat daily tasks with in the store making sure the store runs the best it can. Bringing in delivers, delagting tasks to the team making sure the store is ready for the customers Being here to support the manager in the running of the store and supporting the staff with anything help they need
I have learnt many new skills while being an on the apprenticeship for example how to watch the way the staff are with customers and other employees I never noticed before how much body language make a difference. I also think I have developed on skills I already have,I have always been the sort of person that anyone can speak but now I fell like I can give the answers they need and giving the right feed back
I am really enjoying the programme I am learning lots of new thing which is helping me develope my career. I am also really enjoying the workshops that are put together by a great team I find I get a lot of information, help and support I would recommend the programme to anyone wanting to progress there career
I have worked for the coop for nearly 11 years now and have always felt like I was valued by them I stated as a CTM and have been working my way up the ladder. I couldn't have asked for more support from mangers, area managers all you have to do is ask an they are there to help you.
While I have been doing my apprenticeship I feel I am gaining the experience I need I think the programme is well set out a few issues to begin with but they are always on hand to help you out the work shops are always organised very well and it is an great opportunity to meet up with other peers who are doing the same as you.
Since October when I started the programme I would here from my trainer maybe 2 a month to discuss how I was getting on and if I needed anything we meet up to do reviews and sign off modules. I feel very supported and if I am ever struggling with anything she is an email or a phone call away
Support from my employer could be better as they don't know the in and outs of what is expected of them they always help as much as they can I I can't find the help I need off my manager I will round other stores to require the help I need I definitely think the managers need to know more about what we are doing and how they can us
The apprenticeship has no impact on my salary package as all my expenses like travel are paid for by the coop
I don't need any opportunities outside work as I plan on being with the coop far in the future I think they are a great company to work for and are always on hand to help so I never look to see if they are any other opportunities out there I suppose if I looked then there would be somewhere
Yes
The coop have great values for staff and customers there is always room for improvement and you can work you way up support is always there. Customers come first with the coop and the membership reward are fantastic for the customers and colluges
