Assistant/Trainee Project Manager Currently assist project manager/project directors on a daily basis. This includes writing bids, attending site meetings, producing minutes based on them meetings.
Since I have started my training, internal with Mace and external with London South Bank Uni, I have become more confident in my knowledge onsite. My understanding of site terminology has improved and this has transferred in my ability to produce reports for clients.
I wasn't sure what to expect when starting the programme because I have never done higher education before. The course is enjoyable because it gives you a chance to meet new people around the company, and externally.
I feel like a valued member of my team.
Well organised, emails are received weekly outlining course structure and where we need to be. The structure is at a good level for learning and understanding if you have never learnt about construction before.
There is always support from the trainers if you take time to talk to them and ask questions.
If there are any questions I feel I need clarity on I would never hesitate to ask. Everyone at Mace is willing to help where they can.
The salary is good and covers travel and living costs.
