  • I am doing 6 month rotations within the buisness gaining experiences in all areas of retail banking from cashiering to branch manager levels.

  • I had no experience in financial services so therefore i am gaining new experiences everyday within the bank.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I very much enjoy my programme as everyday provides new challanges and new situations to learn from.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by Barclays?
  • Barclays do alot of work to make there apprentices feel welcome, valued and important. Barclays have made me feel very valued since starting the course.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme has a clear framework of how it is meant to run and dates are provided as soon as they are available to the course leader.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • the training providers are brilliant in there support and couldnt do enough for us as a cohort. This is encouraging for us as it means we dont feel like the distance learning inhibits our chances of sucsess.

  • Barclays is very supportive of the course on all levels and get us involved with as much as possible to help further the work we are completing in our studys.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • The wage is very generous and the way it is run means we dont have to worry about the usial costs associated with a degree

  • 8. Are there many opportunities outside of work?
  • Yes with programes such as life skills barclays is always trying to further there pressence in the community which we are encouraged to be involved with.

  • Yes

  • Barclays has been brilliant to me and has been very supportive of the programme i am on. The way they value there collauges and have a effeciant yet freindly workforce helps you to feel comfortable when learning on the job.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Barclays?
  • I would encourage people leaving collage to look at there degree programme as it means you can gain a degree without the debt and hassles of university. Also learing on the job gives valuable workplace experieneces that you would otherwise miss out apon. Barclays has been the best possibly dicision i could have made so would give the advice that if you have a drive to sucseed and a good work ethic barclays is the place to be.
